Does it matter which refrigerant gas is used?
Yes. Most vehicles built after 2017 use R1234yf rather than the older R134a. Using the correct gas is essential. A quality workshop will have dedicated equipment for both types.
Why does my air conditioning smell bad?
Bacteria and mould build up in the evaporator behind the dashboard when the system is not used regularly. An antibacterial treatment as part of a regas will resolve this.
